about
I began That’s Old News as a way to explore and highlight obscure and forgotten history. While, on occasion you may find famous historical news, more often than not you will learn about the grand opening of a pharmacy long ago, or of a man’s long addiction to rum.
That’s Old News, scrounges all of it’s articles and stories from antique historical newspapers from all around the United States. It is historically accurate as it is what the media reported on over a hundred years ago.
However, like most things in history the news is still not without bias. It may be from time to time that an article shows extreme prejudice. In an attempt to keep this site as historically accurate as possible, I will not be editing out offensive words or phrases. It was the adopted nomenclature of the time and it will stay that way. As such I apologize in advance if anyone is offended.
That being said I hope you enjoy the bizarre and unique news stories as much as I do. If you have any questions, ideas, or thoughts you want to expand upon please feel free to leave your thoughts with that article. Most importantly thanks for visiting.
