Some startling statements of general interest.
Dr. Oliver Wendell Holmes, on being asked when the training of a child should begin replied, “A hundred years before it is born.”
Are we to infer from this that this generation is responsible for the condition of the race a hundred years from now? Is this wonderful generation the natural result of the proper diet and medicines of a hundred years ago?
It is conceded in other lands that most of the wonderful discoveries of the world in this century have come from this country. Our ancestors were reared in log cabins and suffered hardships and trials.
But they lived and enjoyed health to a ripre old age. The women of those days would endure hardships without apparent fatigue that would startle those of the present age.
Why was it?

In Japan the old-school physicians are permitted to wear only wooden swords. This is a gently sarcastic way of expressing the opinion that they kill enough people without any weapons. But the druggist who introduced Dr. Pietre’s Golden Medical Discovery into the Empire carries a fine steel blade. It was found that all who tried this wonderful remedy in coughs, colds, consumptive tendencies, blood, rum and liver troubles, were without exception greatly benefited. The Mikudo himself is said to have “toned up” his system by its use, and the importer was therefore permitted the exceptional honor of wearing the sword of nobility.

For actual cost of using, convenience and perfection of cooking we refer to over 25 consumers who have large gas ranges now in use. The tale of the lamb
Mary had a little lamb,
its fleece was white as snow;
and everywhere that Mary went,
friends asked- How came it so?
Some said it was the food it ate!
While others loud declared
The whiteness due to bleaching wash,
By chemist’s skill prepared.
But no one guessed the simple truth;
nor did she ever tell
The secret of the snowy fleece,
was found by washing well
With Santa Claus soap the greasy wool
That otherwise would be as yellow or as dirty white.
as any lamb you see.
Santa Claus Soap is as good to wash children as lambs- Its the soap for all kinds of washing.
