New Law of Physics

May 4, 1888

In recent experiments alloys have been formed by pressure, but Mr. William Hallock, of the United States geological survey, finds that alloys may be produced from their powdered constituents without pressure at a temperature above the melting point of the alloy, but below that of the constituents, the molecules simply being allowed to the in contact. In this curious discovery he claims a new law of physics, which he proposes soon to verify.
