Shot Dead by a Marshal.
April 30, 1889Dayton, Tenn., April 29.,—City Marshal Griffith shot Bud Bryson through the heart Sunday morning killing him instantly, Bryson had been fined in the mayor’s court and had gone out-without paying. Griffith went after him to collect the fine, and taking hold of him Bryson shoved him away, when Griffith drew his revolver and deliberately shot him down. Bryson lived at Spring City and leaves a wife and child.
